We recently completed a home outside Helena, Montana that had a spacious family room in the basement. While the space was nice and open, the homeowners decided a couple bedrooms would serve them better. The area was divided into two longer rooms with views from the large windows overlooking a private valley, each with its own entrance onto a stamped and stained concrete patio. The homeowner chose farmhouse lighting which coordinated with the timbers, blue pine shiplap walls and rough sawn fir trim perfectly. The area was transformed from a light-filled, empty room into two cozy bedroom retreats.
The finished product.
